JEREMY CASPER (writer/director/producer)
Jeremy Casper is a writer/director/producer from Los Angeles, California. Vacant House premiered at the United Film Festival and won “best screenplay” and “best picture” and "best director" at the CineRockCom International Film Festival.
After college, Jeremy began his career by working at Warner Brothers and interning at James Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment during the production of Titanic. Over the years, he has worked in all aspects of film production and postproduction.
His first book The Inside/Out Story was co-written with filmmaker John Bucher and was released in July of 2015 and is available on Amazon.
His latest book (also authored with Bucher) entiteld, Master of the Cinematic Universe: The Secret Code to Writing in the New World of Media, is being published by world renouwned film book publisher, Michael Wiese and will be available in Apirl 2016 wherever books are sold.
Jeremy currently teaches at the Los Angeles Film Studies Center where he has helped his students develop over 1,000 short films. Jeremy also works with the Global Short Film Network and the Visual Story Network and has led screenwriting and directing seminars in Los Angeles as well as in Egypt, Ukraine, Ethiopia, New Zealand, Australia, Italy, and Jordan.
Jeremy is originally from St. Louis, Missouri and considers himself a Midwest boy at heart. When he’s not teaching or making movies, Jeremy enjoys hiking, weight lifting, and being near the water. He lives with his wife and two dogs in Pasadena, California.
