The Cannes Marché du Film - 2014

 

We are please to announce that Vacant House was chosen by the CineRocKom Internationa Film Festival to be one of its representative films at the Marché du Film at the Cannes International Film Festival.

 

We screened on May the 21st in the Palais, theatre D.  We had a great turnout!  It was an incredible ending to a great week.  Director Jeremy Casper, Producer Walker Haynes, and Director of Photography Thomas McCarty spent the majority of the week hustling Vacant House (as well as Hayne's newsest feature, Hamelt's Ghost) at The Market, looking for foreign and domestic distribution.

 

Exciting things are in the works, and we hoppe to make some distribution announcements soon!

 

In addition to his CineRocKom awards from last year, Jeremy received a Best Director award from the CineRocKom International Film Festival - Cannes - a special honor, specifically chosen from the CineRocKom films that the festival took to Cannes.

Vacant House was honored this past weekend at the first annual CineRocKom International Film Festival in Los Angeles.  Vacant House won the following five awards:

 

DIAMOND AWARD (1st Place) - Screenplay - Jeremy Casper / Cris Cunningham

PLATINUM AWARD (2nd Place) - Best Actor - Cris Cunningham

SILVER AWARD (4th Place) - Best Actress - Dee Ann Newkirk

SILVER AWARD (4th Place) - Best Director - Jeremy Casper

SILVER AWARD (4th Place) - Beat Feature Film

 

The ceremony took place at the infamous Beverly Hilton located in the heart of Beverly Hills.  Thanks to the CincRocKom International Film Festival for hosting such a great event!

 

Post Production (October 2013)

 

We've screened at a few festivals as a "work in progress," but we're hoping to wrap up all the final details of post production ASAP.  Working on the final sound edit and mix and re-recording a few lines of voice over.  Can't wait to be done!!
